Like Boogie Nights - 1998's film about the 70s porn industry - you know you're going to see this one.
And Blow (check out the Infinifilm Edition) It's a very sympathetic portrayal of Jung and perhaps overly so, as if director Ted Demme wants you to cry when the curtains close on Jung as he rots away in Club Fed. This is a good story, but not quite one of a martyr. Ray Liotta as Jung's dad is a nice touch. Thinky says: This sh*t is 70% pure. |

Sex and drugs sell tickets, and the story of big time coke dealers is one that's hard to resist. It is especially hard to resist when the film heralds the triumphant return of Paul Reubens, AKA Pee-Wee Herman, and a script co-written by Nick Cassavetes.
