Dude, why have watered down clones of Bill and Ted been sent forth with this script to further saturate the upper-middle class stoner movie market?

Dude, Where's My Car?

The Wacky Teen Film has been fully resuscitated from its mid-1990s doldrums, but the stories and characters make me wish that my Dazed and Confused memories could simply rest in peace. Dude, Where's My Car? brings together Teenbeat cuties Ashton Kutcher and William Scott in a send up pastiche of the genre that provides some genuine laughs, but in such a lame, offensive and predictable suburban fantasy land that it is hard not to feel guilty chuckling.

Neither of these guys even approaches the presence of a Spicoli or Bill (or Ted), and the result is something along the lines of Corey Feldman meets the forgettable Everykids of American Pie. But life is hard, and anything that helps us ease the pain for 90 minutes isn't all bad - even if you do want to kill the cast (except the babes).

Thinky says: Smoke, watch, laugh, forget.
