Tsai Ming Liang's sequel to What Time Is It There? does not quite reach the beauty of its prequel. In Wayward Cloud, the two protagonists meet again, in Taipei during a drought. Hsiao-kang (Lee Kang Sheng) is a porn star now, and his work occurs in the apartment above Shiang-chyi's home. Don't let the blatant sexual activity in The Wayward Cloud Tsai attempts to reconcile and at the same time separates the act of intercourse from an act of love. Oh, and trust me, you don't want to eat watermelons before or after the show. Â |
