Think Magazine generally likes to err on the side of caution with film reviews. Autumn in New York The film is so bad that critics were cracking up through pre-screenings ON BOTH COASTS. Even the paid hacks of Hollywood couldn't sit through the wooden performances of Richard Gere and Winona Ryder as a mid-age playboy and a sassy Emily Dickenson quoting young "heart tumor" victim. The film is very sad, but not quite in the way the creators intended. Unless you are homeless and happen to be in the neighborhood on a very cold afternoon, avoid this tripe like the mindless, effortless insult that it is. Think rating: toe cheese and ass gas... watch it and see. Really. |
