A friend of Thinky's suggested that maybe Marilyn Manson on Mars would have been a more apt title.
The Mars believability level was too low for my taste, but halfway through this turns into a sort of comic hi-fi spoof with Pam Grier and Ice Cube struggling to keep a straight face and put a sheen on the lack of a story with lots of blood and some half-baked Mars lesbo-porn. This heavy-metal music video on the red planet won't completely disappoint Mars geeks though, as there are lots of slick leather uniforms, terraforming and mining going on here. There are also all sorts of stupid flashbacks within flashbacks to confuse the kiddies, and nothing really makes much sense despite John Carpenter's once steady directorial hand. Did I mention the terraforming? Thinky says: Beam me up, Scottie baby, I got better things to do. |

To which Thinky's glittering riposte was "what about Marilyn Martian"? (Insert tele-tubbies giggle here). Basically the story in
