As the title suggests - this movie is about Richard B. Riddick, the escaped convict who has the special ability of seeing in the dark.

Chronicles of RiddickChronicles of Riddick is set five years after Pitch Black. Vin Diesel plays Riddick yet again and this time he finds himself in the middle of some kind of war between two galaxies.

Written and directed by David Twohy, the movie promises to blow you away with the imaginative world of mythology in a different universe.

The Chronicles of Riddick (check out the Unrated Director's Cut) works as a brilliant extension of Pitch Black without boring audiences with the same old re-run of the plot. The movie, with exquisite special effects, pulls it off quite nicely with no differentiation of who's the good guy and who's the bad. In this sci-fi adventure, everyone's bad; it's just a matter of degree. But the catch is how the bad can rise to a heroic battle.

It's really about the magnificently abled anti-hero in Riddick that works this art. But it is in this follow-up of Pitch Black, that Riddick discovers his origins amidst his fight against the Necromongers, a sect headed by Lord Marshal (Colm Feore). Set in the 26th Century, the movie stars Judi Dench as Aereon, the "Elemental" race's ambassador who assists Riddick in his quest. Be prepared to bask in the dark world of fantasy conquests.
